THOSE PESTY LITTLE UFOS... They always rear their ugly little heads this time of year!!

UFOs, otherwise known as those Un Finished Objects. Those projects that you have the joy of starting. With your excitement at a fever pitch, ready to go, already planning on the next one just like it and what colors you are going to use for it! those projects that you start with all the enthusiasm in the world and you are going to finish and give to so and so. The projects that always seem to get set aside when that new project pattern comes out from your favorite fiber arts designer/teacher. The project that gets set on top of the other project bags in your closet or in your workroom.

If any of the above sounds familiar I wanted everyone to know I have come up with a new name for this disease of starting a project and not finishing it until months or even years later after you have started it.

If any of you have found yourself in this situation congratulations you are now officially known as having FADD. Otherwise known as FIBER ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER!!!!

We all suffer from it!1 Don't deny it. Embrace it and run with it. Hell, drop the project you are working on right now into the nearest project bag, go out and buy new yarn or material and start yet another new project just to prove that you actually have FADD.

I am here to help you out some. we all like seeing what others are working on, what stage they are in on the project and then we all love to see the finished projects. We all also love to show off our projects once they are finished also.

Here is my offer - Send me pictures of your UFOs, started, in the middle of, or even finished. I will gladly show them off on my blog for you. Kind of a way of saying this is not just my blog but your blog also. send your jpg format pictures to fibergadgetguy@earthlink.net and as soon as I get enough pictures I will start posting them. Please include some information like what kind or fiber you are using, who designed the pattern, is it an original pattern by yourself, etc...etc... I will post those pictures and information and a short story from you in my future blogs.

I was sitting here on this snowy afternoon working on a new project for my Mom who is in an assisted living community in Texas. She was telling me how chilly she was and I thought I would make her a blanket and send it to her. I am making it from Lion Brand Homespun yarn and using my 38 inch Knitting Board.

Enough of that I can include this in my next blog. Look for that one coming within the next few days.

Hope to get lots and lots of pictures from everyone so I can show off your work for you and tell the stories that come along with the Pesty Little UFOs!!!!

Till later,

Chris Z
